Claddagh Kennels is a family endeavor.  Our "kennels" is really just our home on Long Island in New York.  We have had GSPs since we brought home our first puppy in 1988.  His name was "Bud" or more formally, "Willoughby's Weiser Bud JH" and he was the start of our great love of this amazing breed.  That is Bud pictured on the right.  GSPs helped us to raise our kids and our kids help us to raise GSPs.  We strive to breed healthy well adjusted dogs who conform to our breed standard and can happily do the job they were bred to do.

We like to go to dog shows and compete in the breed ring. We also run in hunting tests and do some obedience.  Our dogs are well rounded and enjoyable to be around.  They are more enjoyable the older they get of course!  GSP puppies are a commitment, that is for sure.

We are proud to be AKC Breeders of Merit.  We are members of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America, the Long Island German Shorthaired Pointer Club and the Westbury Kennel Association. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.  If we don't have the answer we will do our best to find it for you!
